Bloggercons have been like that... a bit unreal, and sometimes disappointing. Many folks are way more lucid while blogging compared to in meatspace. I suppose that's what people think of me as well ;) j/k!
Thanks to my cousin Safire for a good night's sleep at her pad... after hanging until midnight at BarCamp with Mike Prince of mobido.com and James Littlejohn. Nice to chat with Rex Hammock and catch up with Lisa Williams at dinner at Cha-am.
Lisa reminds me of the same emotional honesty that Julie Leung brought to this session at BC III. Her call to openess of saying exactly what she thought -- desert island blogging is very attractive. but unrealistic. I've got a job, and unfortunately they'd take poorly to the PR risk that level of honesty would risk the organization.
Thinking of even if i was a solo practitioner, i'd still be as reticent as i currently am due to professionalism.
love to say hi if you're here!
Just about to hop onto the express from Palo Alto to SF, to attend Bloggercon IV and BarCamp.
I'll be hosting a medblogger meetup at 11:45am on Saturday @ Bloggercon IV. Thank goodness for Safire, who's putting me up for the weekend so I don't have to bunk out on the Microsoft floor.
